Ap Grading

how does it work, if i wanted to try and take an ap test in subject which i dont take in school could i do that, if i were to do bad do colleges see the grade like SATs where they send one score report with all greades or can you tell college board to withold that grade, tell college board to take it off permanantly from your record (i know you can do this after the test up until a certain date but that date is before you know your score), or do you put the scores on the application and colleges dont need any special report to confirm them?

The AP score report is cumulative, just like the SAT reports. The difference is that for $10, the CB will withhold one grade from one college. To cancel a score, you have to let the CB know in writing by June 15th, which is before scores are first avaliable (July 1st). However, I do not think that it is worth the money to have grades withheld from colleges. The reason is that most, if not all, colleges ask you to list your AP scores on your application, but do not require a official score report. You only send the official report once you decide what college you will be attending (so that the scores can be used for placement or credit)
