On July 1, in a Twitter response to a question about the National Scholar award causing issues, Trevor Packer responded “Exactly, that’s why we’re eliminating it”.
To a follow up question, he responded “Yes, we’re discontinuing the award for the upcoming academic year, not for the past academic year.”
Now, 2+ months later, when (accelerated) applications for this year’s exams are being started, I reached out to CB for clarification. All I received was a cut and paste of the qualification criteria for the award.
Anyone have updates on Mr. Packer’s statement?
(A cynic might think that they are holding off announcing any changes until they collect all of the fees for this year’s exams.)
