@kgsoccer08 Okay did you say that it would rise to the same height? And for the spring question, how did you set up your experiment??
What did you all get for the displacement equation/relationship in #2?
@kgsoccer08 well it went from potential to kinetic to potential again, so I said it would be equal. There is no nonconservative forces to it would be equal to I am pretty sure…
@MileSwimmerDude yeah I know but the ground and the bowl have no friction between them, so from what I remember the initial PE of the block would be turned to KE and split between the block moving downward and the bowl moving backward
did anyone get that ball dropping question? did they ask to draw the horizontal component of force or horizontal component of velocty?
@kgsoccer08 the block and the bowl had no friction, but I think I remember it saying that the semicircle was attached as a ramp to the ground…
@MileSwimmerDude I may have misread it then. If you indeed read it right then yeah the height would be equal to H
@kgsoccer08 you are the only person that I have found with the same form as me. We must be special >:D<
@kgsoccer08 did you have the question about the disk rotating with the pencil marks?
@MileSwimmerDude yeah that one sucked.
@kgsoccer08 I said disagree. The Z and S value should not be directly proportional. They should be inversely proportional. The harder a person pushed (the higher the Z) the lower the S (the length required to stop) should have been
@MileSwimmerDude okay that’s exactly what I put! Now I feel a lot better about that question
@kgsoccer08 Ya I am pretty sure that is correct. Did you say that trail 2 would have a longer ‘smear’ on part C? And for part B what did you say?
I realized that I was writing my solution for a part in the wrong section, do you think they would deduct points for this? I drew a box around the work in the wrong place and left a note saying “This belongs in part b, not part c”
@boberbojoe I don’t think it would be that much of an issue to be honest. I guess it just depends on the grader you get but I wouldn’t worry
@kgsoccer08 I put the same thing I didnt know where to put I, so I put it on the top.
@MileSwimmerDude cool! Now hopefully both of us are right
@kgsoccer08 What did you say for the first free response?
.
@kgsoccer08 Haha I cant even remember, thats why I asked you :D/ I think it was about the block on the inclien and you had to draw the force vectors on the block…?
