I got a 5 on AP Physics B, and assumed that this would get my out of my Physics lab credit. On ISIS, it says that I get credit for PHY2053+L and PHY2054+L. On critical tracking for my major, I would be taking PHY2048+L for my first semester of Physics. Does this mean that I virtually get no credit for AP Physics?

AP physics B gives no credit.

Physics B is Physics without Calculus; Phy2048 is physics 1/ calc; you still receive credit, it just doesn’t help you much for your major

Pretty much for any of the engineering majors, which it sounds like you might be, physics without calc is useless. Calculus is integrated in everything from here on out. Physics C would have gotten you out of 2048. I know it’s a bummer, I got a 5 also, but your background in physics without calc will make 2048 go easier.
