Okay, so I’m currently a senior in high school and I’m very interested in physics. Unfortunately, my school only offers AP Physics 1 (which I’m taking this year) and it’s not very challenging at all. I was looking into AP Physics C: Mechanics and I was wondering if it was too hard to self study. Any thoughts?
Bump.
I want to self-study both Physics C exams this year and get a 3 on both so I can get AP credit, and I’ve been looking into it. From what I understand I’m embarking on an incredibly difficult journey, but I’d like to hear from some Physics C veterans.
In Physics C right now, I’d say it’s manageable if you know how to do calculus. The calculus (specifically integration) in C is sometimes even harder than the stuff I did last year in Calc BC, so you’ll need to have that down. However, if you understand the physics concepts thoroughly, you should be fine for the most part.
