Next year I am going to take AP Physics C but I have not taken any classes in Physics yet. Is there any prep that I should do over the summer so that I have a good base of Physics knowledge before the class starts?

Use MIT OCW courses 8.01 for Mechanics and 8.02 for E&M (Fall 1999, Spring 1999, and SC courses) here:

What I think you should do is to learn calculus now, that will allow you to better understand calculus-based physics when you take the class. You can learn physics in general, but you’ll be using calculus right from the start. I suggest you watch the first few video lectures in the 8.01 course in MIT OCW and videos on Physics at [Khan Academy](http://khanacademy.org).

Of course if you already know Calculus you have a big advantage.

I used MIT OCW for my self-study of Physics C, and I have to say that the professor gets the points across very well, at least for the E&M sections (didn’t really do any work for Mechanics since I had taken a previous Physics course). If you become aware of the concepts through MIT OCW, then I think you should fine for when you get to stuff in class.

I agree with Tech, knowing Calculus will be a big advantage, but knowing some of the concepts is more important than the math, so there are parts where Calculus is less important. Still, you should probably know it.

Thanks. I will definitely take a look at these!
