AP Physics online

I want to take physics 1 but am unsure about which route to take. Has anyone had experience with the Johns Hopkins AP Physics 1 CTY online course or the edX course? And, if so, did the material prepare you well for the test? Was the coursework more conceptual or math heavy? Alternative suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!

I took AP Physics 1 through CTY. It was great! The instructor was always there for me and was awesome at answering questions I had. I really loved the visual classroom so during office hours/labs things could be explained on a “board” which helped a lot with understanding things. It was more conceptual but you definitely needed math to solve the problem (as in any physics course). I got a 3 on the AP test, lower than their average, but I blame myself for not studying as much as I should have. I’m going back to CTY for AP Physics 2 this year.

Thanks! You answered every question I had

Do schools add CTU courses to their transcript?
