AP Physics self-studying

Hi, I’m a high school student who wants to self-study for AP Physics. My high school doesn’t offer any AP classes. I know a bit of calculus, and am currently taking online calculus course on Edx.

I am a rising senior, and I already know that this means that I won’t be able to take any AP Physics tests before college admissions. However, as I’m pretty certain that I will be majoring in physics or mathematics, I want to study and understand physics sufficiently before I go to college.

I have already studied for SAT II Physics, and am pretty certain that I will get 750+. Given this score, do you guys think that it’ll be alright for me to skip AP Physics 1, and possibly AP Physics 2? They seem to be covering similar topics, except that SAT II Physics doesn’t cover fluid and covers only DC current. IF I shouldn’t skip either both or one of them, what books would you recommend for self-studying for AP Physics 1 and/or AP Physics 2? Also, if I can skip both AP Physics 1 and 2, what book would you recommend for AP Physics C: Mechanics? Please take into consideration of the fact that I tend to learn better with school textbooks. For example, I studied better for SAT II Physics using my school textbook rather than studying solely prep books such as PrincetonReview and Barron’s. Now this doesn’t mean that the prep books are useless to me; just that I tend to understand concepts better with textbooks which tend to have more/better explanation on physics concepts than the prepbooks do. Thanks!
