I’ve noticed that some ap Prep Books seem more lengthy than the textbook used in classes. Does that mean my Prep Book goes in depth?( APHG PR 2018 Prep Book specifically) What are the differences between an ap Prep Book and a textbook with respect to the material covered?
AP exams are written to be comparable to an introductory college class. High school text books are written to teach the material at the level thought appropriate for high school students. AP prep books are written to align with the AP standards and to prepare you for the format and expectations of the various sections. The former makes sure you have covered the material in the way that they test writers expect you to have covered it; the latter teaches you how to take the test.
Thank you
