AP Psych - Not really a joke?

its official. psych is the easiest ap ever, especially when taken with a stats course.

lol I made it through the test!! Idk how I did but I feel like I at least did not get a 1  how did everyone else do?

If I don’t get a 5 I will be astonished.

^ Same

although some terms were not in the Barrons…

@FallenAngel

btw why are you taking Psych as a senior? Do you get college credit?

At my school, Psych is a junior/senior class but virtually everyone takes it as a senior.

I took the exam personally for college credit (exempt part of Rice’s distribution requirements) and because I’m really interested in psychology, which I might major in.

Ah cool. I was hoping Psych would fill some general requirement. + It is interesting (Although its shameful Social Psychology is only one chapter)

After having studied for psychology myself along with seven other ap tests (only self studied psych though), I can see why others say it is a joke. It almost is. It definitely feels like it if you took chemistry right before… ■■■ THAT WAS SO DAMN HARD

Just the fact that you can self-study this thing is a proof that it is the easiest exam out there. I would definitely not study it the day before unless you happen to have amazing memory though. Seriously, who does that with ANYthing? Secondly, it’s very concrete and intuitive so that helps as well. As mentioned before, you can basically skip over one of the biggest chunks if you’re taking stats as well. Having general knowledge of the world just helps, and a lot of the researches done are very familiar to people. Then again, I always did love reading those sorts of stuff… so I may be the minority.

Saying that it is a joke might be a bit of an exaggeration (and keep in mind most of the people on CC are academically brilliant) but it can be definitely called VERY EASY in comparison to rest of the exams.

but yeah, always take CCer’s feedback with a grain of salt. They tend to be exaggerated most of the times, and the fact that they’re already above average doesn’t help either.

lastly… CHEM SUCKS SOB BUT I AM DONE WITH THIS SHIZ NOW YEAHH.

Out of curiosity, for those of you who stated that the exam was very easy, how long did you spend on studying the subject?

I found it incredibly easy as well. To answer your question, I reread by class workbook ( 4 hours) and crammed on Sunday for four hours or so. I would be quite surprised if I didn’t get a five as well.

^read through barrons once a week before, reviewed a couple days before and then again on sunday. the thing is, as long as you can make associations with the words to their meaning, it becomes much easier. barrons is definitely the best btw, only 2 questions were like ???

So yeah I learned that I like bombed the whole AP test including the FRQ…■■■

i read/skimmed through the Barron’s before, took like 3 practice exams but didn’t bother writing the essays (they are very straightforward). I read through about half of the chapters again that were weighed more. In total I would say about two, maybe three weeks of pretty light prep (of course, this is all relative).

I still feel like I have a chance at a five. But then again only time will tell~ :d

@Ronaldofan94 - I took an AP Psych class, but the only actual studying specifically for the exam that I did was with Barron’s. I read through Barron’s this past Saturday and Sunday, and reviewed some past FRQs and did the sample MC section that CollegeBoard has. That was about it.

I also took the exam with a 101 degree fever and an awful headache. lol

I think I got a 70 raw on the MC, but you never. no. The essays were great. I knew all the terms except one. Expecting a five, definitely a 4

I thought it was fairly easy. I have been reading through Barron’s since the beginning of April (self-study).

I barely studied haha. I got an A on the practice AP test I took so I wasn’t too worried. I should have studied more but eh. I definitely got a 4, hopefully a 5

you people are seriously bumming me out

I started covering material last tuesday (Barron). Finished Thursday. Reviewed Sunday…lets see how well that will end up…
