Overall, are the 5 Steps to a 5 Books good?

How about the Sparknotes?

How about the Sparknotes?

I like the Barron’s books because they tend to be very in-depth. There’s a stickied recommendation thread.

I know, but I just mean as an overall rating for the two above.

I like Barron’s for its in-depth coverage, but that’s more of a year-long supplement. It’s not exactly something you can read in a quick pace to review.

5 steps to a 5 is usually smaller, and the one that I have (for APWH) is written by a teacher… so it has some little tips here-and-there that other books don’t.

It truly depends on the subject. Some brands are better in one subject while another brand is best for another subject.

Depends on the subject.

For example, for AP US, most would recommand AMSCO and Crash Course.

Definitely dependent on the subject as authors are different. 5 steps is great for Micro/Macro, but apparently not so good for Biology etc.

I found that 5 steps to
a 5 was easier than this year’s AP spanish test. Also, I looked over the 5 steps calculus book and saw completely different problem types than I had seen in any AP book or past ap calc ab test.
