OK, I'm going to be a junior. I will be taking AP Calculus and AP Psychology for sure. The problems is that I signed up for both AP Physics B and AP Chemistry, and the two classes are only offered during the same period.
AP chemistry seems the obvious choice here, since I have already done the summer assignment(school starts in 2 weeks) and AP physics has none.

Well I'm wondering If I should sign up for Physics C instead, which also has no summer assignment, but is only taught by an extremely hard teacher in terms of grading, though it seems quite a few of his students get 5's on the AP test. So is it worth the possible drop in GPA??

My other option here is to take honors/community college physics and self-study for AP physics test. But with only 3 AP's my schedule for junior year, which is supposedly the most critical year of high school, it seems a little weak.

So my possible schedule looks like:
AP Chemistry
AP Calculus BC
AP Psychology
AP Physics C
H English 11th
Spanish3/ regular Art

or

AP Chemistry
AP Calculus BC
AP Psychology
H Physics/some random elective
H English 11th
Spanish3/ regular Art

Oh and all other AP classes have summer assignments so they're out of the question...
Any suggestions will be most helpful, as I'm quite desperate. Thank you.

I totally know where you're coming from, b/c of scheduling conflicts I couldn't take AP gov junior or senior year so I didn't bother much, though I am personally a fan of taking chemistry junior year and perhaps leaving physics for senior year though i'm assuming you already have a strong background in calculus since you're taking BC so I would then say go for Physics C and take chemistry. Good luck.

Thanx I guess I'll just have to buckle down and try my best. Btw our school sucks at helping students and doesn't care much in general>.>

Hmm, that's exactly how our school sounds, especially now since about 90% of our teaching staff has about five years of experience or less under the belt, but at least i'm done with them already and never have to look back :D so good luck again with everything, i'm sure you'll do fine

I would take the second schedule. If you haven't had any experience in physics, you probably shouldn't jump right into AP Physics C. Maybe jumping into AP Physics B would be alright, but even that's a stretch.

I actually found Physics C to be a much easier course than Physics B. Physics B covers thermodynamics, waves, kinematics, eletricity, magnetism, and fluid dynamics. Physics C covers only kinematics, electricity, and magnetism but much more in-depth. However, the two tests for Physics C (E&M and Mechanics) seem to have a much more humane curve. It's easier to study for, in my opinion. My college also only accepts credit for the Physics C exam (I'm an engineering major though).

Reasons for Late Testing
Listed below are the reasons for which late testing (using an alternate form of the examination) will and will not be allowed. Some circumstances are generally beyond the control of school officials and students. In such cases, there will be no additional fee for using an alternate form of the examination. Other circumstances are those in which schools or students generally have a choice between the scheduled date or requesting an alternate date. When such situations arise, the school will be billed an additional $40 for each examination to partially defray costs. Should you have an exceptional circumstance not covered in the list below, contact AP Services at 609 771-7300 or 877 274-6474 (toll-free in the U.S. and Canada).

With Additional $40 Fee Per Exam*
Academic contests/events
Athletic contests/events
Conflict with IB/other non-AP Exams
Ordering error
School closing: local decision
* Students who qualify for College Board Fee Reductions will not incur the $40 charge, regardless of their reason for late testing.

No Additional Fee
Conflict with state-mandated tests
Disabilities accommodation issue
Emergency: bomb scare or fire alarm
Emergency: serious injury, illness, or family tragedy
Language lab scheduling conflict
Religious holidays/observances
School closing: elections or natural disaster
Strike/labor conflicts
Two or more AP Exams on same date and time
ANY OTHER REASONS MUST BE APPROVED BY AP SERVICES PRIOR TO ORDERING THE ALTERNATE EXAM(S). Contact AP Services at 609 771-7300 or 877 274-6474 (toll-free in the U.S. and Canada).

AP Examinations give all students the same opportunity to demonstrate their achievement only when no one knows the questions in advance. To ensure fairness to all students, late testing using an alternate form of the examination will be allowed only in extreme circumstances, as outlined below. Late testing will not be permitted for senior class trips, school assemblies, or family vacations/commitments.

The late administration must occur on the scheduled date (May 17 to 19) and all alternate exams for the same subject must be administered at the scheduled time. Only those students affected by the conflict may test late; all other students must test on the regularly scheduled date. Early testing is not permitted under any circumstances.
