AP Scholar Awards?

Do AP Scholar Awards really stand out on a college application?
I mean, don't a lot of students around the world (or everyone on CC haha) pretty much get them?

Also, how and when do we receive these awards?
Is it via mail?

Thanks.

^they come out in September.

Most people will eventually get them, but it is not impossible to get into great colleges w/o one. I got into Notre Dame and MIT with only taking one AP junior year. It is something that you could put down though.

i think they send it to you by mail in september…

Do they look good on a college application though?

Well, it certainly wouldn’t hurt! It shows that you are proven in your ability to excel in college-level work.

I’m disappointed they come out in September, actually. I wish they came out sooner so I could mention that in my application without being premature.

Will they help your application if no one else in your school gets one?

^yea it shows that you excel in your current environment and you go above and beyond.
