Hi.
Do a lot of CMU students get exempted from classes with AP scores?

My AP scores aren't very impressive so far. And am worried maybe i'm falling behind?

I have this question as well.

I am taking the Calculus BC test this may, and I am worried that if I don’t get out of Calc 1 and 2, I will be behind

There are a number of CIT students who start out in Calc I (no AP credit), so don’t worry about being behind. The main advantage of having AP credit is that you have more flexibility in your schedule, so you have more room for electives, minors, etc. You usually need a 4 or a 5 to place out of a class, depending.
