I have a question about AP scores and being able to take a class. I took some APs last year, but those scores haven't been sent to USC yet, since I am waiting for my scores from this year to be available before I send it all at once. If I know my score from last year, but USC won't receive my official score report until after I register for classes during orientation, will they still let me sign up for the classes I want during orientation?

I also have a few more specific questions:
Are most people able to take Calculus III if they receive a 5 on the AP Calculus BC test? And a 5 on the AB subscore part

If I got a 5 on AP Chemistry, can I waive General Chemistry altogether? Or will I have to take Chem 115abL, instead of Chem 105abL? (I'm at Viterbi, if that makes a difference. POSSIBLY studying Biomedical Engineering, but I'm still not sure).

I forget if they tell you to register for what you want to or what they tell you. Either way, you can change your schedule anytime from when you register until the end of the add/drop period 3 weeks into the semester.

if you get a 5 on the calc BC then you can take calc 3. Just ask your advisor to waive the prereq of math 126.

you can always take chem 105ab even if you get a 5 on ap chem. you might be able to waive it depending on your major (I was)

it is easy enough to change your schedule once you register. after you register you can always go and add/drop online. handling the prereq waiving part (plus any necessary D clearances) is the only thing that you actually have to ask your advisor/department for after registration.
