AP Scores! Post your scores!

Still haven't gotten mine yet

same...vying for tomorrow

Hahaha I'm still waiting for my report card. I hate my school.

Don't you guys have major issues taking all of those AP exams? My school basically schedules around 3 AP exams per exam day, so you can't take a lot of them in one year...Then again, you guys are all like National Scholars and stuff so congrats to all you geniuses.
And I've got 2 questions that were already mentioned but I'll repeat them: if an AP exam isn't offered at your school, how can you take it? And also, can you retake AP exams for better scores? will bad AP exams have a significant negative impact on you?

your school doesn't schedule them...CB schedules them and usually puts exams that one single student won't likely take together, so the schedule works out and they don't have to go to the late testing dates. it's possible to take 20 exams without having any scheduling conflicts.

how the eff do ppl get 5s on the ap calc test? im like...dear god, just give me a 3...a THREE....and U GUYS are pulling 5s everywhere...maybe its cuz our school's math department sucks...or maybe its cuz i hate math....LOL...prolly both...

i only filled out 1/2 of the FR on the calc ap correctly...and got a 5
was shocked, but also relieved because it made up for my other scores.

curve must have been generous this year?

Those scores are good.

Most of the scores on these sites seem rather exceptional, but then think about the majority of students who would come to these sites.

At school they tell us how the AP tests are scored, and this may help you judge your score a little better...

Every year the possible points you can score on a test is the same (108 points for Calculus). After the tests are taken, every student's test is scored for points. Then the scoring scale begins... each year for every test, it is curved so that the largest number of students will receive a 3. For example, one easier AP Calculus test required 80 points to be given a 5, while a harder AP Calc test from a different year required around 60 points.

So what your score actually says is that you were able to score above average out of a group of above average students. You should be happy with your scores and not judge them by the ones on this website.

I called for my scores, because I'm at a summer program until August. Anyway, they were exactly what I expected:

English Language (without taking the class or preparing)-5
US Government and Politics-4
Biology-4
Chemistry-...2 (oops)

rspn70, it is not curved so that the largest number of students will receive a 3.

For example, on Calculus BC this was the distribution:
5 - 19592
4 - 9274
3 - 10335
2 - 3761
1 - 6340

It is set by equating to relate the exam from one year to the exam of previous years. There is a set of multiple choice questions that is common to both exams, which allows this process to occur.

CB also conducts college grade comparability studies in all AP subjects to compare the performance of AP students with that of college students in the courses for which the AP students will receive credit. the lowest composite score for a 5 correlates to the average score for college students earning an A in the class, and so on.

For example, according to this comparability, the poster above should get an A in English, a B in Biology and Government, and a D in Chemistry with his/her level of knowledge at the time of the exam.

euro, calc bc, eng lang and comp, chem = 5
comp sci ab = 4

"For example, according to this comparability, the poster above should get an A in English, a B in Biology and Government, and a D in Chemistry with his/her level of knowledge at the time of the exam."

But for many students, this doesn't happen. I got a 3 on the English last year, but I got an A in the class. Some people are just bad testers and have trouble writing the pointless essays in 40 minutes.

or maybe class is too easy? if your teacher is leading kids to get 3's, thats not very effective teaching.

I was one of the few who didn't get a 4 or 5, and I got one of the top number grades in the class, so...

@)%$@)%@

Bio- 5
APUSH- 5
English- 3
Psych.... :(

damitssam, at least you got two fives. Be happy about those.

Btw--Can you find out your AP scores from the college that you are going to?

Lol vtoodler. My psych grade really depressed me. I find it funny how I only managed B's in my Bio and APUSH classes since they were insanely hard -_- and how I had an A for psych.

anyone get scores by mail yet?

nope......

is there anyway i can check my scores online?
