also @GladKen I’m pretty sure your 5 in English Lit counts for 2 Humanities classes

woo all 5’s!

all 5’s :). Should have done physics B and self studied environ sci as well but I’ll take what I got.

motion1234 and motion12345…are you guys two different people? What a freaky coincidence.

As BUBailey said, I can verify that the 5 on AP Literature counts for 2 Humanities classes, which is awesome. For CAS, that gets both of the divisional classes for Humanities out of the way. Nothing can get you out of WR100/WR150 really.

They don’t even do the writing assessment anymore, right? If you did well enough you could place into WR150. My friend did although she ended up choosing Core.

idk how this happened.
I was expecting fairly good on the Physics C AP exam and horrible on my Spanish AP exam. I got a 5 on Spanish and a 2 in Physics…***. Something tells me I should not have applied as an engineering major

I didn’t even study for my Spanish Language exam. I’m a native speaker and so was everyone else in my class. We skipped the basics and wrote short stories and read novels.

The Collegeboard has been making the AP spanish test harder and harder because of native speakers taking the test. Back in the 90’s my brother got a 5 on it with mediocre knowledge of spanish and I got a 2 on it this past year.

I speak infinitely better Spanish than he does.

A lot of the kids in my class were actually international students so they had already had a Spanish education. I myself had taken Spanish all throughout middle school and high school before I had the exam so taking it kind of seemed like a joke. It’s definitely too easy.

Anyone else not have their AP scores up?

5’s in Music Theory and Calc AB; 4’s in US Gov and Macroeconomics!

I’m confused about what will happen to me with Theory… I honestly KNOW I can place out of Theory 1 during that placement test. Harmony and all that is just like second nature now, and I know stuff beyond Theory 1. However, I don’t know enough to place out of Theory 2 and go directly to 3 (unless I get a good mix of luck and intuition on the test), and Theory 2 is only offered spring semester. So if I place into Theory 2 would they let me take Theory 1 this semester? And if they do, should I? It’d be a nice way to keep my ear/brain in shape this semester and it’ll be good for my GPA.

Don’t take the placement test and when asked, tell them you have only a beginner’s knowledge of music theory. Proceed to get in A’s in an easy class. What they don’t know won’t hurt them.

You have to take the placement test

I don’t see the point in taking classes about things you already know. Since you’re paying for the class, wouldn’t it benefit you to learn something new?

Hmmmm you have a point Nickel Xenon. Actually I could maybe replace it with Basic Composition 1 for this semester. However, if I do end up placed in Theory 1 obviously I will have to take it. But Basic Comp would be good cuz I would be making scores that I could use if I want to apply for a Comp major sophomore year.
