I'm wondering if you all think this is too crazy for next year's schedule (junior year) or if you have any advice as to handle this schedule:
AP Micro (self)
AP Macro (self)
AP English Lit
AP Comp Gov (self)
AP US Gov
AP Human Geo (self)
AP Calc BC
AP Physics B (self)
AP Physics C (both)
AP Spanish Lang
AP Stats

I'm shooting for AP state scholar in my junior year in Ohio. I found a news article which stated that the winner that year (2008) had 14 exams, and I've already taken 8 (7 5's 1 4) so my exams listed above would bring my total to 20. I'm thinking that Physics B would be the first to be eliminated if this proves too stressful, but any other advice?

I am an ohioian. I just finished my junior year with 14 tests total, all fives, and I plan on taking another 8 next year, so no that will not be enough.

his question was as to whether or not he could win state scholar by the end of junior year. I said no - he is better off just spreading the self-studies out over junior and senior year to relax a bit anyhow since it’s probably not possible and since the extra time needed for the tests could be better spent elsewhere if you’re not getting state scholar.

BTW, iambenk, you don’t go to indian hills, do you?

Actually I’m in Ohio as well and I’m planning to have 24 AP tests completed (5s) by senior year. I’ve been shooting for State scholar since freshman year. It helps to be fluent in 3 languages :D
