i definitely spaced my time pretty well and finished with about 5 minutes left.

i wrote all these funny notes to my readers during the test. i'll write what they were tomorrow or sunday when i'm less tired.

something crazy though -- one part said "if you needed more room take up this space below."

that question literally took me about 20 second to do and i easily fit it in the space provided.

haha same here

yea, i just did the problem in the space provided, and wrote an explanation of what i did in the extra space. but for the actual calculations, i felt the space provided was sufficient.

Anyone know when the questions will be posted on CB?

r we allowed to talk about the answers yet?

I think we can tlak aobut the free response now. It's been over 48 hours

yeah, i think its ok to discuss the free reponse. cb has posted the questions up, see for yourself...

http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/statistics/samp.html?stats

so very easy, I think I got a 5

so since were allowed to discuss... what was the answer to the median question? (#2 subset c) i think that was a wording bias :D i mean i just stopped and stared at that it since i had no idea what to do. in the end i wrote 2 but was it 1? i remember it was right skewed, but thats all i knew

im pretty sure the answer was 1. ahh i think i screwed myself over on a lot of the other free response though i dont know what i was thinking

which test did you take: form a or b?

i have a question for the median thing... i got the right answer, but i dont know if i will lose points for my method of getting the right answer ?
Since it gave you p(x) i found the fraction each number occured, and reduced it to x/20. Then i put those numbers into my grapher, and found the median. Is that okay if i said i did it that way? or were they expecting us to do it another way?

also, 1 B is no right? my friend is trying to tell me that the answer is yes.. but that makes no sense

I went with the median = 1 for that question because, if i remember correctly, the cumulative proportion of 0 was .35 and the cum. prop. of 1 was over .5, so that means .5 must be greater than 0 and (I figured) located at 1.

It's definately no. They only selected 1 rural and 1 urban area to take data from which really, you need samples from more areas. [makes face] I don't exactly remember how I explained it.

thats what i told her... okay, glad im not going crazy lol

what did u guys say was the bias ? i was saying that many people w.o diplomas were homeless, may not have phones, etc?

Yup, but ouch, homeless? Lol. I just said there's a greater probability that they won't have phones and the true proportion will be understated.

For the bias, I said they would potentially be ashamed to answer that they hadn't received a diploma.
