You are misunderstanding. The AP credit policy in place for LSA applies to engineering except for CS, Chem, Math, and Physics, where the more stringent Engineering guidelines apply. How much benefit those other credits will be is a different question.
I am not fully understanding but AP’s like Physics C and Calc BC would be more inline with engineering and expected if your school offers them. But taking the other AP’s listed shows rigor also.
My son got credit for for all three of the classes you mentioned exactly as they are specified in the link you sent. He is currently a freshman in Engineering. The LSA AP list applies to the COE except for the more stringent requirements listed at the top of that web page for Chem, CS, Math and Physics.
If you want to go into engineering, then definitely take as many STEM AP classes as possible. The chart says the LSA guidelines apply unless there is a specific college of engineering requirement. For example, in LSA, a 5 on the Physics C (Electricity and Magnetism) gets you credit for Physics 239. In engineering, a 5 gives you credit in Physics 240.
