I'm signed up to take AP Physics B, AP Bio, AP Calculus BC, AP English Language & Composition, and AP US History next year. I am relatively a gifted student in math and science, becuase I go to an academy for those subjects; however, my teachers and friends are telling me that a work load like this is much too difficult. The thing is that I've never talked to anyone that has actually taken classes like these themselves; it's all just speculation. I really want some feedback about these classes, because I'm considering switching AP Bio for magnet organic chemistry which is a weighted college level course to introduce one to organic with about 30 minutes of homework per night. As of right now i hear the classes i listed above would deprive me of all free-time and sleep. I want to know the truth about these classes; is it nearly impossible, or will I just have to work REALLY hard?

Much of your workload depends on your teacher. At my school, there are 4 APUSH teachers. My APUSH teacher was really chill and you never even had to study for a quiz; you could just study before class. Other APUSH teachers, however, demanded much more of their students, so these students had harder workloads.

5 APs - 2 of which are sciences - is high on the difficulty scale no matter what. Nevertheless, your courseload is completely manageable with good teachers that sufficiently prepare you for the AP while not overburdening you with work or overly difficult tests and assignments. You’ll have to work hard, no doubt, but you’re probably dedicated anyway.

Best advice: ask upperclassmen about potential teachers for each of your APs and check out ratemyteacher.com.

From what i hear, the US teachers, the AP Physics B teacher, and the Bio teachers are phenomonal. The English teachers are rather average. I had the AP Calculus BC teacher for Magnet Precalculus last year, and she would yell at anyone if a question was asked. It makes it a lot harder to stay on top of things in math.

Just prepare for a lot of written work. All those classes are in my school, except for AP Physics B because our school doesn’t offer it. Like stated above it all depends on your teachers. But keep in mind, AP classes are time consuming anyway, so just make room for studying.
