I’m taking ap world and chem my sophomore year in a few months and my older sister already had AP Princeton review books for both that were for 2013. I was wondering if i could still use them to help study for the 2018 year and i don’t really feel like spending $30 on new books.
I was wondering if the AP tests were redesigned after 2013 and any other tips for preparing for Ap exams!
APWH had a new test this year. My daughter’s teachers advised new review books.
And the AP Chem test was redesigned for 2014. You’ll need new books. Borrow if you need to, but the old ones won’t really be useful.
Also, isn’t the curriculum basically identical every year…? what’s the point of getting new books
Both the test format and the curriculum changed with the redesign. Feel free to prep with the old books, but in doing so, you’re being penny wise and pound foolish.
You’ll need a new book for AP World, a good tip of advice for AP World is to practice, practice, practice the saq and dbq to have a better score.
Chem’s redesign does have changes in curriculum and types of questions asked, I took the new exam. Old books would still be useful, but shouldn’t be the only study source.
