I am seeking your opinions on the AP WH Test Prep book published by Barrons, Kaplan, PR, and/or any others. Which one helps the best on the AP test? Why? I bought a Kaplan test prep book and it seems helpful to me however there is not much info on the Kaplan book on CC so I need to know if Kaplan is fine by itself or if I should get another book as well. Btw, I am self-studying. Thanks guys!

JCHWANG- I have always been a huge history nerd, and last May I took AP World and easily got a 5- I say easily because there was little to no challenge for me.
The key things are a versatile memory, a solid ability to connect ideas and themes, and, my secret weapon, “AP World History: An Essential Coursebook”
I ordered this through my school so I’m not sure where you might buy it, but the author is Ethel Wood and it is seriously the most helpful piece of AP World literature you can ever buy. Forget Kaplan’s or Barron’s, those are **** compared to this one. The text is in-depth, informative, very thorough, and followed up by chapter quizzes and detailed explanations.
If you read this book cover to cover in April like I did, I can almost guarantee a 5.
