Hello, I am currently a sophomore in AP World History. The exams are on may 13th, and i have yet to read the book or learned anything yet. What can i do to catch up and somehow at least achieve a 3 on the AP exam? Also, my teacher is crappy, so no point in asking her for help. I have bought flash cards and am deciding on the Princeton Review or Barron's review book. Which should i choose? If i bought the barron's or PR, would it be possible to just solely read the review book or would i have to read the text book too? The amount of pages in the text book are 1000 pages, and i honestly do not have the patience to read the entire thing. So, would it be possible to get a 3 only reading the review book/ reading flash cards?

I looked through some reviews on Amazon and I found that Princeton Review is slightly better than Barron’s in the World History study guide department. Barron’s functions more like a textbook and doesn’t narrow down the facts enough from what I’ve heard. Anyways, I’ve heard getting a 3 is certainly manageable by solely using the study guides.

I’m in a similar position (check my thread), so good luck!

Soo, i wont need the textbook? because my teacher is literally useless, we’re about 2 months from the exams, and we have yet to learn aobut how to write a DBQ

I would use the textbook if you need to refer to information that you are struggling with in the study guide. In fact, the Princeton Review study guide (which I am using) recommends referring to the textbook if you feel you need more info on a topic.

And don’t worry. The Princeton Review study guide teachers you how to write DBQ’s.

alright thanks for the information, please update me with any new info if you get any, as i will do the same.

i really liked REA’s book.
However, it provides a lot of information,
and if you dont have time to read all of it,
i would not suggest buying it.
