<p>How do you guys divide groceries?
split? everyone for themselves?</p>
<p>I buy what I want to eat. My roommate buys what she wants to eat. Occasionally she eats some of my stuff. Occasionally I eat some of hers.</p>
<p>Although we split for staples like milk and eggs, because if we each got those, there would be too much of it to finish.</p>

<p>I tried the “buy it together and everyone shares” thing, and it totally did not work. Buy your own food. Chip in on big purchases or things everyone’ll use (ie, condiments and spices), but buy everything else for yourself.</p>

<p>Just like what everyone else said: buy your own groceries and share the staple foods (milk, rice). Sharing all groceries usually doesn’t work since some people eat more than others.</p>
<p>Yeah, sharing everything never works. My roommate and I bought separate things but shared on staples.</p>
<p>Seems like a lot of apartmentmates don’t cook and eat together.</p>

<p>We buy stuff separately and we normally eat separately, but every once in a while somebody might make lunch or dinner for everybody. For some odd reason the only thing we share are the veggies with everything else being individual.</p>

<p>In a pot, melt butter. Add some flour. Stir. Then add milk. Then add cheese. Keep adding ingredients until you get the cheese sauce you want, wheeeeee :D.</p>
