hi guys
So my problem is even though I am qualified to receive APID (it is an AP reward) I still did not receive it.I just received the AP Scholar with Distinction.I emailed the college board couple times but they did not respond.I am upset because my friend got his APID two week ago and I just do not understand why I still dont have mine.Furthermore I really cant understand why collegeboard does not respond my emails.By the way here are my results
English Language and Composition:4
German Language and Culture:5
Environmental Science:5
Human Geography:5
Psychology:5
and here is the criteria for APID http://international.collegeboard.org/programs/apid?affiliateId=rdr&bannerId=apid
please help me thanks
You’re short a language; it says:
"Two AP Exams from two different world language and culture courses* (Please note English Language and Composition and English Literature and Composition are not world language and culture courses)
- OR -
Two AP Exams from one world language and culture course and one English course"
You only have one other-language AP (German) and English.
Which the OP has.

Let’s take a step back. I understand that the lack of well-deserved recognition is frustrating, but how does it create a problem for you?
American universities will care about the actual AP exams you took and the scores you obtained, not a silly label attached to them. British universities would care about the actual list of exams. German universities would care about the actual list of exams. (And you wouldn’t qualify for admission to German universities based on your APs; there’s nothing on your list that qualifies as a “science” in Germany, among other problems.)
In fact, the APID label carries zero additional information to colleges who can also see the list of your AP exams. Relax. Why don’t you channel your energy into something that will actually make a difference on your college applications, like editing your essays or helping your teachers compose strong letters of recommendation?
Because they are slow to respond by email. The one time I emailed them, I got a response after about one month. If you need a response, call them.
I thought the awards were given automatically.I guess I am wrong. What could be the problem here ?I know all the qualified ones received it in the begining of the September
I could think of a few potential reasons off the top of my head, some of which might merit follow-up.
For example, are you positive that all of your AP scores are on a single account? It sometimes happens that Collegeboard opens multiple accounts for one person. That would be worth looking into because it will affects how your scores are reported.
Another possibility is that there’s a bug in the program that flags eligible candidates. That would be frustrating but not problematic for you.
It might be worthwhile to call Collegeboard and investigate - not because the APID “recognition” will do something for you, but because the reason that you didn’t get it might affect your AP score reports.
I agree with @b@r!m, what difference does it make?
All of the kids get these awards. It doesn’t make you any more attractive to US universities.
Is it something that you need in your country?
“Two AP Exams from one world language and culture course and one English course”
“Which the OP has.”
I read that as saying you needed TWO APs from Language X (i.e. Lang and Lit exams separately) PLUS one English AP; otherwise I don’t see how it’s different from two APs from two separate languages when they specifically say they don’t count English as one of them.
On rereading I may have interpreted it incorrectly.
