Rejected... so sad.

I think they've sent all of them out, because I haven't heard any complaints about people not getting their admissions all day.

To those who didn't make it:

I didn't make it last year either. I was ONLY accepted by UC Santa Cruz (3.5 / 1780 SAT). This fall (as a freshman at ucsc) I applied as a lower-division transfer to UC Davis and was accepted.

I would encourage you all to keep on trying if UC Davis is your top choice. Community college is a really, really sensible choice if you're looking to save money and increase your chances of transferring.

It takes a much lower GPA to be accepted as a transfer student AND with Transfer Agreements you can have guaranteed admission.

With that said, college will truly be a test. If you have another school in mind- keep your grades up! I've seen people get into college with a 4.0 and get a 3.2 in college.

Don't let these admissions discourage you. There are plenty of other routes you can take. Don't give up!

r31ncarnat3d the reason i ask is because I'm a transfer and haven't gotten an acceptance or rejection. You're probably right about freshmans, but transfers have all the way till mid april to hear.

ya irvin I'm waiting on a transfer decision too, I just wish we knew when it was coming rather than sometime before april, hehe.

Ahh well. I know some transfer students have heard already, but I guess just not the english major ones? What major are you?

My bad, I assumed you were a freshman because of all the running around going on in the forums.

Yea, like you said, the transfer admissions are probably later. The site gives them a much larger window, and unfortunately, I don't know much about transfer admissions. Maybe try asking around and see when transfer admissions came out last year? UCs are pretty good with sticking around their previous dates.

civil engineering. No one at my school got in yet for engineering or math, so I know there not done. At least transfers aren't affected by this budget cut. Did you get the letter saying they increased the number of seats for transfers this year?

I'm guessing you english major equinebeing?

yep I am an english major, and no i didn't realize transfers would not be affected, that's certainly a sigh of relief. I joked with my mom earlier and told her I didn't get in and she almost started crying...haha so I really hope I make the cut.

yeah i hope i make the cut as well

goodluck equine

thanks! you too.
