appeal for college

I am 45% of my class with a 2.91/4.0 GPA
I got a 25.25 on my ACT and needed a 26 to get automatic acceptance.

I just recently appealed to the admissions office. Telling them a story about my childhood. I can say it on here because I know my identity is protected.
I was raped when I was 13 years old. In my essay I discussed what happened, and how I felt. I stated that I wanted to make a change in myself, but was hurt and kept it inside me and was afraid of what others would think. I told them that UTD was my dream school and I hope to attend to my dream. I said I wanted to start over and be given a chance to prove that I am not worthless like i was made to believe after the incident.

how many do you think appeal to utd?
and if so, do they get in?
and do I have a fighting chance?

amazing appeal, while your at it apply to other top schools, I’m not even kidding if you write an amazing essay about this horrible incident you will get inot a top tier school undoutbaly.

^You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about. As for the OP, writing about such an incident won’t necessarily grant you admission (and make admission officers overlook other aspects of your application). They will probably suggest counseling, like Northstarmom said before (in one of the dozen other places you posted this thread).
