On behalf of a classmate: She was expecting admission to the honors program because her stats are well above average for what Temple requires. Her scores and grades are pretty much identical to mine, and she had many more extra curriculars and leadership activities than I did (I only had one). I was offered honors and she was not; she called the school and they informed her that she was "not coded" as honors. Is there any way to appeal a decision like this that seems to be an error?

unfortunately, no, i don’t think there is anyway to appeal the decision. i was expecting admission as well but was disappointed to find out i had not been selected. when i called the admissions office to ask if there was any way to have my application re-reviewed if i were to send updated stats (i.e. senior grades, additional test scores, etc.), they said that option was not available. you just have to reapply to the program after your first semester. however, having your friend call and ask about their own specific situation would not hurt. hope this helps.

Update: The situation was remedied and it turns out it was just a paperwork mistake.
