So I recently got denied from two colleges which I applied through common app. I was pretty shocked I got denied so I went back to make sure I didn’t input any incorrect information and it turns out I entered the wrong gpa. I wanted to know if that would have a huge impact on my admission decision, if so should I try appealing my decision?
If you submitted your transcript, they have the correct GPA already. Unless your error is so big that GPA entered was far below the admission range and got your application filtered by first reader before receiving the transcript.
How different was your GPA? Was it 3.91 instead of 3.89? Then it won’t make a difference. If it was 2.9 instead of 3.9, that would.
My gpa is a 3.5 and I accidentally inputted a 3.4
That will make no difference
Also many colleges take the transcript and recalculate the GPA based on their own criteria (ex. academic classes only, unweighted etc.).
