Appealing my innocence for AP exam (AP Exam)

Hi,

I recently just took the APUSH exam. I came into the testing room late that day and was scrambling to get my ID and pencils from my bag. I sat down and proceeded with the instruction. About 10 minutes into the test, I realized my phone was still in my pocket since I felt a vibration(I forgot to hand it in before). I intended to put my phone away before but forgot to since I was really nervous on that day(I got two hours of sleep). The last thing I wanted to do was to cheat and violate testing policies. I took my phone out, turned to silent and was about to hand it to the test proctor and apologize. However, she saw me first and took it. I explained briefly to her at the time of what happened. She didn’t say a word to me since and she even proctored another AP exam of mine without saying anything. I’m worried about whether she reported this incident and what should I do. If I’m reported, when will Collegeboard notify me? Is there anyone I can appeal my case and get my score uncancelled?

Nothing at this point. I doubt the proctor even logged it as an incident. Don’t worry about it.

@worrriedchild123 Think of it this way - you broke the rules, she saw what happened and wanted to help you out. So what, if anything, does she say to you? Seriously, think about it, especially given that you are posting now in public forum on the Internet. Does she say “You broke the rules, but don’t worry about it”? Hmm?

@damon30 Can you clarify your reply? I’m not sure what you’re trying to say

See reply #1.

@damon30 you’re saying I shouldn’t worry??? cuz she was trying to help me?

@worrriedchild123 Your proctor is smarter than me.

Yeah, don’t worry about it. Unless you’re told by school admins that your score is going to be canceled (which I would say is very unlikely), I suggest that you don’t think about it. You’re going to be fine.
