Okay, question #3, doesn't make sense, so I'll rewrite it: Lastly, do you think they put people who applied for early application but were deferred, back to the end of the line for notifications?
Sorry about all of the questions.

this are just my assumptions.. i don't really know.. so don't take my word for it..

it seems like good stats to me.. although i've heard ME is supposed to be one of the hardest engineering majors to get into. and if you don't mind.. break up your scores.. what did you get on math SAT and ACT math and science? those will be important factors, and your grades in your math and science classes and how many years you've taken.

i'm not sure if they do it in order of major.. but i know during ed all those that were accepted found out within a few days of each other.. and those rejected found out later.. closer to the deadline

i doubt they'd put them behind.. they're mixed in with everyone else. and personally.. i think a person is more likely to get in if they were deferred ed.. because the school knows that it was there first choice.. but i don't know

How many AP classes or CC courses did you take? How many years of math and lab science? It's not as simple as pure stats.

for the SAT I got a 690 in Math, 560 English
ACT- 30 for Math and Science, and 26/27 in English/Reading
I have taken 8 AP classes including senior year, and I have taken all Honors math classes and currently in AP Calc AB. I have taken Physics, Biology, Chemistry (my school doesn't offer honors in these courses) and currently in AP Physics. Hope this helps

Straight A's in all my science classes, and one B in my math classes (Honors Geometry in Freshman year)

i'm assuming with your gpa.. you've received A's and maybe B's in these classes? yaa i'd say you've got a good shot.

that's....intense.

I called Cal Poly and they said there is no order to their notifications. They released a bunch of engineering decisions yesterday but not all of them and not all decisions yesterday were for engineering. Wow, that's confusing.

Basically, I'd say you have a great chance and you should be expecting some good news in the near future.

But this is all just my opinion. :S

ok.. didn't read your post til after i wrote mine.. so ya.. you've done great in all of your math and sciences classes.. so i think you should be fine.
