Two of the colleges I’m applying to have emailed me saying that they’ve extended their regular application deadline to the 16th instead of the the 15th because of the three day weekend. However, on the Common App, it still says that they are due on the 15th. Will the Common App automatically lock me out at 12:00am tonight?
No, you can apply to schools after their official deadline on the Common App. The week after Jan 1 there were plenty of kids saying they submitted their applications days late, which in my opinion is not okay but it happened. If the college told you they’re extending their deadline you’ll be fine.
