application is up.....three essays?? am i missing something? whoa....

Hmmm I sort of like what they’ve done with the application - you just have to find a way to make good use of every single one of those 250 words, lol - GOOD LUCK!!!

After working on the application a little bit, I’m finding it extremely hard to say anything meaningful in less than 250 words.

I’m actually having fun with the word limit, but I really like language and writing. I kind of view it as a game… packing the most meaning possible into the fewest words. It’s a little bit exciting… like I re-read the essay and go “aha! that sentence could be shortened and attached to the previous sentence… hooray now I have 8 more words to use!”

…I prolly sound super nerdy. >_<

is it ok… just to go over… a litttle bit… by a little bit I mean like twice the words >_<
gosh I have this really great idea for the “what department” essay. but it turned out to be 234 word. ahhhhh…

do we seriously have to stringently obey the rule?

You don’t have to stringently obey the rule, but going more than twice over the limit is probably too much.

My usual rule is that about 10% over or under the word limit isn’t noticeable.
