Application numbers up

Just heard the applications are up 32% at Harvard, 38% at Yale, and if I heard it correctly, 50% at Princeton. Probably similar numbers at top BSs?

An Exeter AO said they got ~2600 applicants and are expecting anywhere from 300-500 more this year.

From Bloomberg:

Applications to Harvard University’s undergraduate college for regular decision surged more than 42% for the 2021-22 academic year.

Princeton’s applications rose 15% to more than 37,000, said spokesman Michael Hotchkiss. The school eliminated the early round this year to give students and schools more time to complete the application, he said.

Exeter has received about 3,000 applications annually over the last couple of years.

“where we received 2,686 completed applications, and admitted 16.6% into the 9th, 10th, 11th ,12th and post graduate grades.”
