under Admission Documents Received, it has a list of materilals i sent and it says application processed right under application fee paid

does this mean they finished reviewing my application and decision letter is sent out?

I got my recipt letter just today and it's hard to believe that they finished reviewing my app this fast but it should have been finished by this point since i applied ED2! which has a notification date of jan.15th

"does this mean they finished reviewing my application and decision letter is sent out?"

No, application processed basically means that they have received your application and it has been "processed" through the system and documented. That is basically the first thing that happens after you apply.

Right - it means your app has been receieved and they have set up this site so you can track the other pieces of your app as they arrive at CMU and are posted here - your teacher recs, test scores, etc. You will hear from CMU (or read it on your site) right about the time they say they'll notify people....I've not heard of many applicants finding out way ahead of time, except maybe a few recruited athletes.

Decisions are supposed to be mailed out on the 15th. But, 15th is a sunday and it's a holiday on monday, so they probably won't be mailing it out untill the 17th, so we'll get it on Thurs or Fri (1 week from now!). I think I'll call CMU and verify (this was what they said a while ago) and let you know.

D's RD site last year just had the one word 'Accept' near the top right, maybe after 'Decision:'...does your ED site look anything like this? Not sure if this applies to you EDers, but it seems CMU's prez likes the applicants to be able to hold their decisions in their hot little hands, so they don't post the RD decisions online until 3 days after mailing the letters.

As I recall the threads on here last year, the decisions were mailed in batches over a period of a few days or so....never did figure out if it was by school applied to, alpha order, admits first and then rejects, or what...D's letter was dated near the very end of March - arrived very early April...but others didn't hear for quite a while after that.

You'll get housing info and things like that after you send them your $500 to tell them you're accepting your admission. Look for those things close to Memorial Day and periodically throughout the summer.
