I'm applying as a transfer to tisch, and I just have a random question about the app. . . on the teacher recommendation form what is the thing at the bottom? The portion about waiving my right to see the recommendation? Does that mean I can read it before I send it, or that I can see it after i get accepted into nyu? If i can read it before, would a good strategy be to ask several teachers to right a rec, and then read them all and decide which one is best? Any help appreciated!!

It means you waive your right to see it after you're accepted at NYU; I didn't waive my "right" ;)

yup jaime is right. i didnt waive mine either. a lot of people asked on the nyu bulletin board which was preferred, but they repeatedly said they honestly didnt care, so i dont see why you would waive your right

(probably also keeps the teachers from writing something negative eh? they know youre gonna see it!)

ps - glad you decided to go ahead and apply =)

i waived mine :( he said it would it would make the application stronger because i chose not to look. but i'm really curious.
i'm not worried though, i know my professor didn't write anything negative about me. I just want the opportunity to read what he said and gloat lol
