When filling out the online application, should I mark honors classes as AP/IB? Thanks.

No all honors classes are AP/IB classes, thus I do not think so.

But they are considered weighted on my high school transcript and I want to relay that to the college. I assume they will figure it out when they get my transcript, but for now should I let them think they are regular classes?

If you mark “AP/IB” for classes that are not “AP/IB” classes, you would have a big problem when they compare your transcript to your self-reported academic history. Honors classes are not AP or IB classes so NO, you do not mark them as such.

I don’t remember exactly where. But USC app has instructions saying do not mark honor classes as AP/IB, specify honor classes by the title on your transcript, i.e. Chemisty Honors.

Just follow the USC instructions.

Ok, all of my honors classes have honors in the name, so I trust they will figure it out without “AP/IB” being checked.

Yes, Orange Duck, with 35,000+ applications per year it is possible they are familiar with the concept of “honors” classes and can be trusted to figure it out…
