Application Status Changed

Anyone else have this happen to them? Up until today my status check said something like "We have all your stuff and are currently reviewing your application" and today is just says "We have all your stuff." Does this mean they've made a decision? Thanks

Hi, kp217:

I feel your anxiety. Looking for any word change or indication that a decision is forthcoming is stressful. Hope you get the decision that you want SOON.

My S found out end of last week online that he was accepted to his 2nd choice major and received a small envelope in the mail today. I thought acceptances would be LARGE envelopes. Nope, just a regular size envelope from the Office of the President. I held it up to the light enough to see the word CONGRATULATIONS (was a bit worried about the envelope size). Guess they are being ecologically responsible. :)

Which school was his first choice? Is he top 8%? In state?

@Tiger1992. First choice Math, Second computer science. In state. Top quarter, small prep school.

kp217: Did the change stay on your status page or revert back?

my status says congratulations you have been accepted but i haven’t received a letter yet

My status says something like we have receieved all the stuff needed to review you for admission. It has been like that since I turned everything in last November…
Are you instate?

@collegejj123,

My status is exactly the same as yours. I’m in state and submitted all my materials in early September.

kp217: What does it mean when the status statement drops those last two sentences?

my status was updated yesterday. i’m in state, not top 8%, and it just updated it to accepted!

Yeah it changed back to “currently reviewing” so idk maybe I got rejected from my first choice major and am being reviewed for 2nd choice or undergrad studies. I’m instate at a non ranking private but I know I wouldn’t be top 8 anyways. A lot of my non-top 8 friends are starting to find out so I’m kinda nervous but who knows.

The same exact thing happened to me. The scenario you suggested sounds plausible.
