Applied Masters in Economics

How difficult is this program to get into? Does anyone here know?

Many universities offer a Master’s in Economics as a consolation prize for those falling short of a PhD while FSU has one of the most outstanding stand alone programs devoted to producing professional economists. While this program is one of the best of its kind, they accept about twenty five students per year. I don’t know how many people apply but I assume the number will be going up since post-graduate education is counter-cyclical.

The only requirements are a GRE of 1000 or better (I believe they emphasize your Math score much more than the Verbal) and a minimal math requirement of one college level calculus course. With a solid GPA above 3.0 in your major, requisite GRE scores, and some good letters of recommendation your prospects will be great.

Thanks man. I appreciate it.
