Hey, y'all,
I'm currently pursuing an applied math degree at UCSD. I'm thinking about adding a minor. How useful is a business minor with an applied math degree? What are some useful minors that are non-contiguous to my major (so no natural sciences)?

If you are interested in finance or actuarial jobs (common destinations for math majors), some economics, finance, and statistics courses should be helpful. See [Be an Actuary](http://www.beanactuary.com) .

Other common destinations are computer jobs, so some computer science courses may be helpful.

Knowledge from various introductory social studies courses tends to be generally helpful (jobs tend to be within social organizations, so understanding how people behave socially is helpful).
