Applied to HSSEAS and no Likely Letter

thank you for the feedback guys.

some of ya’ll mentioned Extra curriculars, which im really stacked on, but not in engineering curriculars.

i have 500+ community service hours
3 years varsity tennis
2 years MUN
1 year ASB

but nothing int he engineering sort…

standardized testing was always horse**** too me, but i did what i could, and obviously failed.

i might consider jsut going to community college and transferring to UCLA.

and i think also my essays are pretty strong to perhaps carry me in hopefully. idk…

edit: also a california resident if that helps.

I don’t think the engineering extracurriculars matter too much tbh. I got the likely letter from electrical engineering last week, and I managed to get all A’s except for a B throughout hs and a 35 ACT, and multiple SAT II scores above 750. I’m actively involved in lots of stuff, although mostly artistic/humanities (like dance) and nothing science-ish. Didn’t seem to hurt me anyway :)

@Fintork

Insulting us won’t change your denial to every college you apply to bud.

I posted that exact same MIT article awhile back. Yes, a perfect score isn’t “necessary” for admission. A HIGH score, however, is.
