Engineering Likely Letter Class of 2019

Post when you receive a likely for engineering!

I applied Computer Engineering. Fingers crossed

Thought we would be reading about them by now. They have consistently showed up anywhere from last Friday to this past Monday, so technically, they are later than they have been, at least for the last several years…hmmmmm…

Better late than never lol

So true

I think UCLA is the only place where waiting for a likely can be considered realistic, I heard they give these to around 40% of the accepted students, is that correct?
Last years they were given out around 14th so no not late for them yet+ they received 114,000 applications, you can’t really blame them for taking their time :stuck_out_tongue:

Only engineering.

@CADREAMIN I know but if the apps were up for the uni the apps must also have increased. I applied to CS, you?

UCLA received 5% more apps this year, not a huge impact to engineering figures below. I had one accepted to CS a couple years ago (that went to USC) and another applying this year.I thought the likely letters only went to top 10-25% of engineering applicants, but I am not sure. But they have gone out every year for the last 5 years that I have been scoping UCLA. Here are the figures for 2014-2015 to ponder till decisions come out. Good luck!

Computer Science
3,335 applications
276 admitted
8.3% rate
50 enrolled

Total UCLA Engineering
19,906 applications
2,593 admitted
13.0% rate
638 enrolled

I just got one I think…

It invited me to an open house.

The purpose of this letter is to make you aware of an important event for applicants interested in learning more about the wonderful educational experience the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science (HSSEAS) and UCLA have to offer.

We have received your application to UCLA’s Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science and I want to commend you on your fine work in high school. Admission decisions have not been finalized or announced, however in late March you may check the UCLA Undergraduate Admissions website www.admission.ucla.edu/myApplication for final decisions. You will receive an email from Undergraduate Admissions when Decisions are available online.

I cordially invite you and your family to save the date for the 2015 UCLA Engineering Open House, on Sunday, April 12.

@appleface47‌ Yeah same. I’m so nervous for Berkeley.
