Applying as a Spring Transfer easier?

Hey everyone, I was looking at schools to apply to in the Fall and noticed that some have Spring Application available. I was just wondering if it was easier to get into school during Spring app rather than Fall app?

I am looking at CSU Fullerton’s admission stats for Fall 18 vs Spring 19 as an example and there is a higher acceptance rate for Spring 19 but significantly fewer applicants in the Fall vs Spring.

Fall 18 Applicants: 24646. Admits: 8944 Acceptance rate: 36.4%
Spring 19 Applicants: 6681 Admits: 4847 Acceptance rate: 72.5%

I am sure there are a # of factors to consider especially important is there spots available in your intended major. Highly competitive/popular majors may be not have room for Spring admits. You can sort the data by CSUF college to see if this statement is true.

I would research and see if you can find similar data for any of your target schools along with which majors are available.

Here is some more information regarding Fall 18 vs Spring 18 admits for CSU Long Beach.

Thank you! I was trying to research information on this but I had difficulty locating reliable articles.

It might be faster if you contact admissions at your target schools.
