For most schools when do you have to apply and send scores to apply EA? and what is ED? I don't know if I can take my SAT 2's in June... and am hoping I still can apply early if I take them in October or November...
I read on Harvard's Website about something that applying EA wouldn't increase your chances of getting in? Is this the same with other schools?
Also about some school's policy on how if you apply to their sschool, you can't apply elsewhere?

EA usually has the same deadline as ED, 11/15, however some schools vary and there is also EA 2 and ED 2, with december or january deadlines.

early decision is applying to one college with the agreement that you WILL go if you get in- you will withdraw all applications and enroll. it's binding, and you have to accept the financial aid you're given (you can get out of it if you don't get enough aid, but i'm not sure how that works).

if you apply ea you can apply to other schools, except withj single-choice early action, which schools like harvard and yale have, but thats not so common.

applying early action to a school usually doesnt help because it's not binding. applying ed will help. however, it can vary- ea at some schools is harder or easier than regular

The admissions rate for early admissions of any kind is COMPARATIVELY HIGHER than most regular admissions acceptance rate. For instance, the Cornell Ed is 43%, while UPenn Ed is 34%, and there are also less people applying early admissions, so your chances may somewhat increase. Applying early can also CLEARLY show your strong interest in the school, and that's one of the reasons why colleges give these people a higher ea/ed acceptance.

i agree but it's also important to keep in mind that the people who are applying EA are highly competitive and that also contributes to the high acceptance rates especially for the more competitive colleges!
