<p>You can scroll down this page and get a history of each school. There is a striking difference in EA vs. RA at Stanford, and not so much at MIT. Again, every little bit helps in this ultra-competitive world. </p>
<p>1) Apply to the top choice school with EA (not ED)
2) If that school is MIT (or other EA school without single choice), then apply to as many other schools on the list that have EA without single choice.
3) If top choice is Stanford (or EA single choice school), then decide if it would be better to apply to more schools EA without single choice, or blow your shot on Stanford.</p>
<p>You put your best foot forward with the highest school on your lists. That means apply EA (not ED). But, be careful where you spend that chip.</p>
<p>I personally ignore it when school or someone says, that child has same chance EA vs RD. IMHO, if the child is on the line, then the “enthusiasm” of applying EA may make the difference.</p>
