Just wondering what you guys think is better for the couple schools I'm going to list. I have received mixed reviews on what ways better to apply to the fallowing schools. What do you guys think? (I have a fairly high GPA, class rank, and test scores. My ECs are pretty good also, pretty average honors student)

Schools: (some might not offer ED or EA but give me your opinion on which will give me the better chance of being admited anyway)

Yale
Dartmouth
Upenn
Cornell
BC
Vanderbilt
Duke
Northeastern
NYU

Since you can only apply to 1 ED school should I make it my #1 reach? (Yale) or a school that I have a bit better chance of getting into like (Vanderbilt/BC/NYU)?

Compare your stat with the admission average of these schools. If you are at or above the average, go ahead with EA. If you are absolutely sure you want to go to a particular school and it is affordable to you, you may consider ED. Otherwise, you better to improve your GPA/scores and apply RD.

No, luckily my financial situation is good and that is not a problem. And alright I see, so if it’s a school that is a bit of a reach I need to just apply regular because the applicant pool will be a bit easier?

If it is the same below average admission stat, it does not matter if you apply EA or RD. The chance is just as low. But you have more time to improve your GPA and scores if you are applying RD. For schools that do not reject but defer in EA, you may apply EA while improving your stat.
