Applying fall 2013, chance me?

My first-choice school is tied between Reed and Barnard (polar opposites of the U.S., I know), and I am curious what my stats add up to. I'll probably attend the school that gives me more financial aid/accepts me. I'm a junior in Minnesota now and will be applying RD this fall. Chance me? :)

GPA: 3.72 unweighted (will be higher after s2 junior grades)

ACT: 28 (first time -- retaking for a 32+ in September!)
Reading: 31
Writing: 33
Math: 23
Science: 24
Essay: 10

SAT: 1930 (first time also -- retaking for a 2100-2250 in October)
Reading: 640
Math: 580 (I know, I know)
Writing: 710
Essay: 8

AP classes I will have taken by graduation:
AP Lang/Comp
AP Lit
AP Art History
AP Euro
AP US Gov/Pol
AP Physics
AP Studio Art

I will also have taken 2 years total of credits through the University of Minnesota:
1 full year of Spanish 1003
.5 year of Spanish 1004 (it's a condensed class)
Introduction to Modern Literature

Extracurriculars:
Tae Kwon Do (10-11 years) - high-ranking black belt
Debate (4 years) - junior captain
Speech (3 years)
Newspaper (2 years) - editor
Yearbook (1 year) - editor
Art Club (2 years) - president
Spanish Club (1 year)
French Club (1 year)
NHS (only 1 year at our school)

I am running for Senior Class President currently, and I think I have a very good chance! I only have one opponent, and I'm a bit more "credible" than she. Not to be overly presumptuous.

I am most certainly a strong writer, and I look forward to proving this on my supplement. I've won a few awards for my writing (poetry). I've also won student of the month awards for physical science in 9th grade and art in 11th.

I definitely have interests in the arts and languages, evidenced by my schedule and my grades -- my English and arts classes are abundant and high-achieving, while my science and maths...not as much. My lone grade below a B to date was last year's second semester C+ in Honors Algebra 2. That was rough.

I intend to pursue a major in Art History, minor in French or English.

Beside Reed, I am also applying to Barnard, Smith, Sarah Lawrence, UMTC, and Carleton. Perhaps Boston College.

Stats suggest how Reed will consider ability to succeed in the school’s rigorous curriculum; compare yours to those of a recent class at [Reed College 2010-11 Common Data Set SecC](http://web.reed.edu/ir/cds/cds1011/cdssecc201011.html). Because of how yields work, on average (not necessarily at Reed) you have about a 50% chance of admittance if you’re at around the 67th percentile of of applicants.

Because Reed’s admissions process is so holistic, it is difficult to chance prospies based on objective stats alone. Most current students pretty much avoid the chance me posts for this reason. Check out the Common Data Set linked above; that should help you out.
