Anyone here applying to BC?

yea have you applied yet?

applied EA last week friday

Sent in everything for EA. Does anyone know if we have to interview?

i applied RD last week and no we dont have to interview

Applied EA this week.

for you guys who applied- what are your stats? just curious...

I'm applying RD.

Applying RD, one of my matches. Absolutely fell in love with the school when I visited last April. I'd choose it over Harvard...

I've applied, but I don't know if I'm RD or EA. There was some funky stuff goin' on, but hopefully I'll be an EA applicant. Where is everybody from?

I applied to regular decision for the management school... anyone know the ranking for it, I know its not that high?

I'm from MA, about 45 minutes away from Boston. I think I would choose BC over Harvard too.
I applied EA for pre-med with a Spanish major.
My stats are SAT 1520(760/760), W-780, Spanish-740, Bio-M-730, Math IC-710, Math IIC-690. A- average. Taking a full college courseload with 5 freshman classes, 5 sophmore classes, and 2 junior classes (WPI goes on a quarter schedule), with A's and B's.
Tons of EC's, but my big ones are Mock Trial all 4 years, Tae Kwon Do for 6 years (all kinds of awards). I volunteer in the ER, and mentor elementary school kids.

Where is everyone else applying?

I applied EA and am from Madison, WI. Pretty excited to get back decisions soon! 10 days. I also applied to Marquette Univ., Notre Dame, and Brown. My top choice is ND followed closely by BC.

I wish college apps were simple online forms that gave a response in 30 seconds. Waiting is the worst part of the process!!!

I applied EA to BC, from catholic school in NJ, also applied to Providence, Villanova, Notre Dame, and Johns Hopkins. BC is my first choice, letters should be going out soon. Hate the wait.

amdandrew-

waiting is pretty bad, but I think the worst part of the process is being deferred/rejected.

Does anyone know if BC rejects anyone EA, or just defers everyone that doesn't get in?

Yes, they do reject EA applicants. Good luck.

I have heard that BC is big on legacys. My mom, my dad, my grandfather, my aunt and her 2 kids went there. My aunt also works for the college and so does one of my grandfather's closest friends. I also have decent grades with a 3.5 GPA (not quite BC standard). But with my OK grades and my lengthy legacy, do I have a chance on getting accepted?

don't depend on legacy...both of my friend's parents went there and they donate money every year (lots of $) and he got deferred EA. He has a 1350 and 3.3 UW GPA. But he will probably get in because he and his family are having dinner w/ an adcom ;-).
