I am a high school senior planning on applying to the Bioresource and agricultural Engineering major this fall. My question is how does this major compare to the other engineering majors since its in the ag department? the ag department seems to have the reputation as the slacker department and I am a rather high achieving student (34 ACT, 4.02 CP GPA) and I want to be in a challenging environment. should i consider applying to an engineering major that is actually in the college of engineering? Any Insights?

I think you’re a good candidate for other engineering majors nice work.

BRAE seems like a really fun and dynamic major, and is totally engineering intensive based on what I’ve heard from friends. I know BRAE majors need to take Civil Engineering courses, Electrical Engineering courses and intense classes that every other physical engineering major needs to take. I’d say go for it.

Counselor recommended ag engineering but what if you don t like it? On our tour they said it was nearly impossible to transfer between engineering majors
